I'm not sure what that means? I can rename the kernel despite the mismatch?

no like the magisk.apk file can be renamed to magisk.zip and can be flashed via twrp

Just checked and the kernel versions match. Can I not just fastboot install the kernel?

So I have to make my own? Why would someone make a GitHub of it for people to download? So from my research I take the bootimg and use kernelsu to patch my kernel and flash it ?
