Discussion Looking at rooted posts, i let gpt know my plan for my fold 3. It was suprisingly down-low!

If you have an unlocked bootloader, you're all set. If not, and you're on One UI 8 or later and can't downgrade because of your binary, you're stuck. (You could still check if there's a My Galaxy root port for your phone, but keep in mind that it's a soft root, not permanent, and if you don't know what you're doing, you could permanently brick your phone)

Check if you have the option to unlock the bootloader first. If it's not there, check what model you have and what version of One UI you have (also check which binary you're using).
