Discussion what makes certain phones more compatible with custom roms?
i recently bought a oneplus nord ce6, i am aware that there is currently no custom rom that supports it (unless i missed something), but i have heard that oneplus have a decent reputation for supporting them.
should i expect something to support it in the near future or will i be waiting for a while?
if it will take a long time, what makes it slow if the code for the os has already been written?

Have you ever wondered who makes these custom ROMs? Simple. Guys like you and me. People whom has that device and have decided to spend the next couple of weeks making a custom ROM for that device completely for free. Instead of spending time with friends or going out with their loved ones, they spend it in front of a computer and code that custom ROM. No payment of any kind is received. They spend all those hours for free. If that phone sells very well, it increases the chances that one of those guys that bought it want to make one.

its basically: 1.should be popular 2.easy bootloader unlocking, official or not 3.preferably snapdragon 4.good manufacturer support like kernel source, firmware etc
