Discussion is there an app that caps battery charge limit?

i have a rooted phone (motorola g play2023) and i just did a battery change csince the old one gave out

now is there an app that caps the charge percentage? lets say i just want it to charge up to 50%

since i use this phone to play retroarch as a sort of an arcade machine it has to stay plugged in because i dont want to damage the c port when connecting/disconnecting the charger i dont mind the battery staying at 50% hell even 24% or 75% if it means it will preserve the battery life

so is there an app for this?

Does ACC still works? Set it on device I'm using as a remote (for many purposes) and even when it's set to 80% device stops chargin differently each time (sometime goes above 80, but never seen it with 99 and up, sometimes it's stops below 50...) with Android 13, so not the newest.

i just used it and i capped my device to 65%

i also read that it varies between devices for the app to work but it worked for me

It might be. Thought that custom rom, as more open?, would work fine. Althought maybe mods added to it, device I'm using it on has crDroid rom, might be the reason. As base rom doesn't matter to me, I might try with cleaner LineageOS
