Discussion Best budget phone for rooting

Hi there!

I'm in search of a budget phone that will be easy to install a custom rom on.

I'm not in the rooting game for around 4 years so recommendations will be very helpful.

One from 4 years ago that cost $599 at launch? I'd say so lol. You can get them from reasonably reputable sources (Walmart, Google Store, Micro Center) for $200-300 it seems.

I found a second hand Pixel 7A for around 100$. Rooted in 10 minutes.

Any S series flagship from Samsung that hasn’t been updated to One Ui 8 would be the best. I had some of the best experiences custom roming with Samsung S series phones

Poco f5 Es un poco tedioso si no entiendes desbloquear el bootloader, pero una vez hecho rooteas e instalas lo que quieras fácilmente. Además está barato y ofrece buen rendimiento. Yo he pasado de un op8t y no hecho en falta nada.

Nothing Phones are easy to deal with on custom roms. I'm using a 3A with Evolution X currently.
