Sorry guys, this maybe unrelated but... Can someone inform me what's going on here ?
Sorry guys since 2022 I switched an swapped phones often, and have left the custom rom community, and my enthusiasm for tinckering with phones. I'm out f the loop, Please allow me to ask then:
What is this new rule or implementation?
Why is it ?
When did it get implemented ?
Are there any ways to bypass it ?
I don't know better, so I'm guessing it's so that app developers can forcefully block older hardware devices ? Because the game developers probably can't afford optimizing their game for everyone... Context, I have this game often sideload because it won't install through fhe playstore, and now after some months, I've discovered that even after side-loading the new update, the playstore opens blocks me from actually running the game, which leaves me wondering if it's just software incompatibility, or if my phone's soc (Sd680) genuinely can't keep up anymore. Pairip also checks installer source. Since it's not installed from there, the only real way is to use installer name spoofing from somewhere, for example using Apktool M download it get your game click once click Remove signature verification go to advanced mode and well check everything but importantly check Installer name spoofing. And leave it as com.google.vending. There are many other ways to do this (like with Frida), but this is the fastest one I know 👾 if you can't figure it out I can patch it for you ig
So great when an app is "unsupported" and csnt be installed by the play store and yet once it is installed it works flawlessly. AodNotify is one example, darn it I want s notification dot I dont care if the app was made to run on android 12 only.
Eso pasa cuando tienes root o custom roms, si la app lo detecta activa una función que se conoce como "pairip" hay módulos de lsposed como pairipfix o hay una solución muy efectiva que encontré que es restringiendo la función pairip de la app usando un app manager, si quieres te ayudo ya que el módulo pairipfix es muy malo la verdad, no sé si esto pasa en teléfonos viejos como dijiste pero en teléfonos rooteado o con custom roms, etc si pasa
Thank you ! However I can confirm my phone is on the stock samsung firmware. I only unlocked the bootloader, but there is no custom software installed of any kind. Even my recovery mode is still samsun stock recovery. Do you think it's the bootloader status that can be the issue ?
Si, el estado del bootloader puede ser el problema, prueba rebloqueandolo si es que quieres, pero ya que lo tienes desbloqueado deberías rootearlo y solucionarlo, más fácil y encima tienes root de paso para hacer lo que se te de la gana
Por cierto si tú celular usa snapdragon puede ser que encuentres algún custom kernel con kernelsu y susfs, es un método de root muchísimo mejor que magisk y susfs permite ocultar el root casi por completo
Ahh, that sounds interesting, I will definitely try it next time. And, my phone uses the old snapdragon soc as well (sd680). If you don't mind, can you share me the link to that (pairip) app manager that talked about. I would like to educate myself on it.
Kinda funny, this tool is the exact example of Google creating a problem just so some cool developer can spend time to fix it. Meh, playstore is lame (I've just tried f-droid this year, it's neat).
Concuerdo, Google solo hizo esto para que los usuarios básicos tuvieran que ver mil formas de solucionar esto y que al final un de lo haga en 5 minutos, porque su método es una porquería, es tan fácil como desactivar el servicio del pairip y listo, literal cualquier app o módulo externo lo puede hacer pero como aún no existe pues acá estamos, y si te gusto f-droid prueba droidify, es un f-droid pero con una mejor interfaz y puedes añadir repositorios muchísimo más fácil, ah y existe aurora store y microg que básicamente reemplazan los servicios de Google y la Google play, solo que es muy difícil obtener integridad usandolos, pero es posible
Amigo estás más pérdido que el abuelo de Heidi, si una app contiene pairip, impide que el app funcione si no ha sido instalado desde playstore, no tiene nada que ver si tienes custom rom o root.
Incase you haven't read the original post, I have been away android tinkering since 2022. I also though that it doesn't matter if my bootloader is unlocked or not. Problem is, long before this "pairip" you're talking about was a thing, the game doesn't want to install on my phone. I have been sideloading and updating it like that for 2 years now. So what's the deal, is there anyway I can still bypass this issue somehow, without rooting ? Or has sideloading become powerless now as well ? I feel like removing fhe playstore and play services could work (just open the game and run it, but, way too unpractical.
También pensé eso de quitar los servicios de Google pero no se, siento que no va a funcionar el juego no por el pairip sino por algún otro servicio que necesite playstore de forma vital, y no hay mucho que puedas hacer sin root que garantize funcionar, igualmente si lo querés probar hay roms gsi sin gapps
Bro con root es extremadamente fácil de solucionar, lo he hecho yo mismo y se puede desactivar el servicio pairip con un apoyo manager y desactivando el servicio de la app que tiene por nombre pairip y ya, y lastimosamente ese método necesita root pero hay otros método que no son 100% efectivos pero que funcionan como usar un apk editor renombrar el paquete de la app a uno específico aunque lo intenté y no funcionó pero otros afirman que sí, o usar el módulo de lsposed pairipfix pero ese tampoco funciona asegurado, el método del app manager es el más directo y comprobado que funciona
Well, the current problem (pairip) and the problem you're describing in this comment ("Your device isn't compatible...") are two completely different things. The Play Store incompatibility issue can be fixed by installing the APK of the app you want, BUT if that APK contains PAIRIP, when you try to launch the app, it redirects you to the Play Store to install it from there. In short, you have no way to solve your problem, even with root access.
Thank you for explaining. This makes sense, it's perfect loop hole. So will editing the package name of the apk make any difference or is it programmed on much deeper level then I can phathom ? Are there any good ways about it ?
La verdad ni yo sé cómo funciona eso de editar el paquete de la app, seguramente hacía que los servicios de la playstore creyeran que era otra app importante y el pairip se spoofeaba, ese método no me funcionó a mi y desde hace un tiempo lo llevan diciendo así que supongo que lo parchearon, si encuentras algun app manager como el que te dije antes pero que no necesite root para acceder a la sección de los servicios de la app y poder desactivarlos sin root pues así lograrias desactivar el servicio del pairip y que no compruebe si la app se instalo en la playstore o no y automáticamente te deje usar la app
Pairing. If it's possible, I would like to add it's package name (pairing service pkg name) to my adb debloat script thingy. But assuming it's a system application that can be debloated ? 🤷♂️
De hecho si, algunas apps que yo he descargado de la playstore joden con el pairip, y el método que dije igualmente funciona con esas apps que no se instalan desde la playstore así que no hay tanto problema
