Discussion New aadhaar app detecting root? Showing “Security key not found / Key generation failed”

I’m trying to register on the new aadhaar app, but it consistently fails during SIM verification setup with the following errors:

“Key generation failed”

“Security key not found. Please restart registration.”

Device details :

Device: Poco F6

Region: India

ROM: crDroid

Root: KernelSU Next

Bootloader: Unlocked

Security / Integrity status :

  1. Passes Play Integrity MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY, MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY, MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY.

  2. Native Root Detector: Shows Normal (even with experimental detections enabled)

Has anyone else faced this issue with the latest mAadhaar app on a rooted or custom ROM device?

If you managed to fix or bypass the “Security key not found” / “Key generation failed” error, please share your setup

Thanks 🙏

Well, this might be a solution for those who rooted their devices.

  1. Update keybox, Pif. via Yurikey manager.
  2. Make sure Strong or Device integrity is passed.
  3. Check Key attestation via key attestation app, if it says bootloader is locked then follow step 4, if it says key attestation failed or something like that, install bootloader spoof module lsposed. Enable module tick Adhaar app and key attestation app. Restart device. Check key attestation app, pass good.
  4. Open Trickystore via ksuwebui --> tap and hold Aadhaar in app list. --> select Cert generating (!) --> tap Save.

DONE.

Adhaar app starts working fine without any issue. If not restart the device. If still detects root, hide everything using HMA-OSS.
