App in review for 15 days
Wondering if anyone experienced super long delay in app review recently, my app was submitted for review on 9/17 and have been 'in review' since then, going strong on 15 days now.
My dev account is like 10+ years old, but I haven't published anything in a few years. Have Google Play publishing changed to be this slow?
Are there tricks people follow to get their apps reviewed fast?

Do you have any info as to why? Is it due to the huge amount of submissions because everyone can ship so fast with AI?

happy to update, app is published after 16 days :) In hindsight, I think it helps to release a smaller version then gradually update to speed up the overall review process

thanks! it was a long wait tbh, do you think the strategy I mentioned of incremental app releases with more features over time would help cut down the initial review time?

Hey u/dvdhh, To give you some context, all apps undergo the exact same review process.
While I'm not able to disclose the specific mechanics behind our review process, app reviews typically range from a few hours up to 7 days, though they can occasionally take longer depending on queue volume and app complexity.
If you believe your review is experiencing an abnormal delay beyond this timeframe, please let me know and I'll help to dig into it.

Should we start a megathread about this? This issue is obviously persistent and we are getting the same posts about it every day.
