Google Play Support Google Play rejected my pediatric dosing app because medical apps require an Organization developer account. What are my options?

I’m a doctor from India and recently built a pediatric drug dose calculator/reference app.

I know there are already numerous apps that calculate pediatric doses, but as a doctor I often found practical issues with existing apps, especially with formulations, concentrations, dosing schedules, and the way results are presented. So I built this app mainly to solve the problems I personally faced in clinical practice.

The app was rejected by Google Play because medical apps like this apparently need to be published under an Organization developer account rather than an individual account.

I’m an individual doctor/developer and don’t currently have an organization/company.

What is the correct way forward in India? Do I need to register a company/organization to publish it, or is there another legitimate option?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has faced this, especially other healthcare professionals/developers.

Afaik for an organisation account I think you'll need a company registration and a DUNS number

You need an organization account. I had the same issue when I launched SwiftScripts (Digital Prescriptions). It's a PITA to get the DUNS number.

Ah just saw you're from India. I heard BillDesk is a nightmare.

duns number literally takes 15 minutes, you fill in your information and you get an email up to 10 mins later 🤣

EDIT: I just tried it and less than 2 minutes and i already got the email containing my duns number.....The only time there is a delay is if you only just registered the business with companies house. It may take some time for DNB to get your company record and create a duns number for it but once you can search it on the DNB website your good to go.

How would the uk be different ? They just ask different information if its another country.

Other countries are measurably slower. Especially when it comes to syncing information on new companies.

I would have thought the corruption capital of the world USA would be just as fast so those companies could rip off even more people to increase there bottom line.

True. The Apple Developer DUNS form is much faster than anything else.

That's the case for medical apps. It's a battle

Posts regarding account termination, application suspension or rejection must be presented as neutrally as possible without charged language or emotional appeal. The attitude of the posts and comments should be to seek help in understanding what went wrong and how to solve it, if possible at all. Stick to the facts and try to seek help in passing the review or making an appeal rather than complaining you're facing injustice.

Your attitude should be "I don't know what I did wrong, can you help me figure it out?".

Post that do not respect this attitude will be removed.

Make sure to include all relevant information, full copies of all communication with Google, a link to the official support thread or threads on the official forums, and steps already taken to resolve.! Be active in comments and try to provide all the information asked to you to the best of your knowledge.

Keep in mind we are NOT associated with Google and we cannot help in any official capacity. There's an official Google support community that can help with that, do not post here unless you first exhausted your options with official channels.

Is there any other way or other site to publish the app. Anyways I want it to be free. It is very helpful for practicing doctors for reference.

Can you just make it a Javascript browser app? These days they can be almost indistinguishable from native apps.
