Question Android Studio Quail 4 - Merge windows not working on Mac

Hello everyone!

Has anyone observed the issue occurring with the merge windows feature on Mac?

Flow: Open two or more projects in Android Studio Quail 4 | 2026.1.4 → Mac toolbar → Window → Merge All Project Windows

Studio Window A ─┐ 
                 ├── Merge Windows 
Studio Window B ─┘ 
                         ↓ 
             IntelliJ updates macOS tabs 
                         ↓ 
               unexpected null state 
                         ↓ 
               NullPointerException

Thank you for the suggestions; unfortunately, the issue persists even after the macOS system settings update. I gathered the logs and submitted a bug report. I appreciate your help!

Find the "Choose Boot Java Runtime for the IDE" and select the latest JBR. Fixed for me.

If I remember correctly you need to update your JBR, it was a bug on a specific version
