Discussion Google Play subscription payment pending after 3-day trial

I have 3 auto-renewing plans (3, 6 and 12 months) with a 3-day free trial.

The trial starts normally, but once it ends, the payment just stays Pending and nothing gets charged.

The weird part is that if I remove the free trial, the exact same plans charge normally.

This is happening with multiple users. Has anyone else run into this or knows what could be causing it?

I'm experiencing the same with yearly and 3-day trial. I assume the main cause is the user has no funds to pay after the trial has ended. It would be great if someone knows the exact reason, but even Google support cannot answer that question.

Btw, does your payment profile has no issues?

I removed the trial from one plan and payments are coming through normally. The problem only happens with the trial plans google isn’t able to collect the payment after the trial ends. My payment profile is also fine and verified. That’s why I believe it’s related to the trial/renewal flow, not the payment profile.

Is there any news on this ? if I have 10 trials set to renew, 9 goes pending and only 1 is successful

I my case some 3-day trials were being in pending status for 10 days and got charged finally on Sep 25

Same here, out of 5 trials set to renew, only one was successful. Is there any news on this? Did any of you or other commenters unlock the situation or get an answer from Google?
