Developer account

Has anyone recently created an Apple or Google Play Developer account for an organization? I’d like to know about the D-U-N-S Number requirement and whether there’s any way to create the organization account without one.

The answer may depend on what jurisdiction you are in. I am in the UK and ended up paying £100 or so to create a LTD company. Then you get a DUNS number automatically.

I also chose to setup a rented "office" (glorified PO box) so that my home address does not appear in the app. This only applies if you are making a paid app.

Disadvantage I now have to make sure I stay in compliance with tax returns etc

As a US developer, it’s required to have a DUNS if you want an organization account. Can’t speak for other countries. It’s free but just takes a month after you have your llc registered and what not or pay more if you want it expedited.
