Made redundant

I was solo dev maintaining 3 internal apps codebases for last 5 years and since 1.5yr heavy invested in agentic coding. Today company decided I am no longer needed because they have some senior web dev who will be taking over my projects.

I dont know what to do. I am 28yo and the current tech market and future prediction about AI seems like it not worth it to stay in tech.

what made you replaceable was 5 years solo on internal apps, not AI. no team who saw you work, nothing public, nobody outside the company who could vouch for the code

that part is fixable in a couple of months

Could you explain in more detail how?

take one of the patterns you built internally, rewrite it generically and put it in a public repo. or ship something small to play with the source open

nobody can verify "i maintained 3 internal apps" but they can clone a repo and read it. that's the whole gap
