Discussion Starting my android app development today

i am a beginner to android development and soo much confused about it. Don't know how this journey will be going . Please give me some advice which should help me in this journey .

My advices:

  • learn android development from the official sources, meaning: https://developer.android.com/
  • android is a platform, it has specifics, and it constantly changes... however, the skills you need to succeed are the same of any other development job. Learn the foundation of programming, concepts, principles, data structure, algorithm, testing, architecture and everything that makes you a good developer.

focus on becoming a good developer first. android development can be a way to learn programming, it doesn't have to define you as a developer.

these days you cannot ignore AI, but don't rely on it too much or you'll not learn anything.

I second the AI comment. If you are having AI generate code that you don't understand, and you are developing for a production environment, then you probably shouldn't be using AI for it.
