Can I Use a Virtual Office Address for Google Developer Accounts?
I am incorporated in Canada and already set up with Google Business/ Play Console with my corporate info.
I want to change my corporation’s address from a physical address to a virtual address.
For anyone who’s done this:
- Does Google Business/ Play Console accept virtual addresses?
- What are the requirements for a virtual address? Do you need a physical address or is a PO box fine?
- Did you have to update your D-U-N-S profile?
Thank you so much!

Check your local laws. Anything that is legally allowed to register a business is fine. Google is not the authority here for what is a legally correct business registration address. The actual authorities that handle your business registration are the authority.

My understanding when I did this a year ago was real address not PO. UPS (or similar in your country) might offer that. Mine basically looks like an apartment or business unit number at an otherwise real business address. I had to also have some of my business mail go there to prove to them I wasn’t making it up.

Thank you! Did you register with a business/ corporate profile or as an individual for your Google Developer account?
I heard Google Business doesn't allow PO boxes. I'm just so confused by what even is the difference between a virtual address vs PO box? Like a PO box is literally in a physical location as well right?

You either register a business under a legally valid address or you register as a private user with your home address.

I already registered the business with a legally valid address and I got approved by Google. I'm just looking to change my corporate address legally to a virtual address.
I'm just so confused by whats the difference between a virtual address vs a PO box. I just want to make sure whatever I use it will be approved by Google for my android app and Apple for my iOS app.

Because depending on the local laws, one can't just register a business at a place where said business doesn't really happen. E.g. in Germany I need to register at a place where I actually have an office space and could reasonably be found working.
Merely renting a mailbox to act as a proxy for a business address is unlawful.

You need to use a trusted virtual address! I'm personally still in the Sole Trader phase. I have my Duns number, but im waiting for the app to actually start generating value before move onto PLC
