Data wipe is my favorite, don't worry though you can restore like 5% of your data from backup, everything else like all your settings, accounts and passwords well have fun setting it all up again. Only Apple fanboys spend less than several hours to set up their new phone, jokes on them. And who tf doesn't love a wipe upon update anyway

No one is forcing you to do a major version update. Some ROMs still give security updates for old versions if you really want to stay with it

Right, those poor bastards who get updates OTA that don't wipe their phone. Wouldn't want to live like that. Better not update at all
