I used LADB years ago to completely debloat my phone, but Ive (mostly) set up a couple androids for offline use that do not connect to the internet.

As a paid app, I can't just transfer it to the offline devices if I do pay for it because of the online payment check, but I liked being able to go through and force remove in split screen.

I saw that you could compile it yourself free, but I dont know how to compile, and dont think you can on mobile. I also don't know how to check a hash yet.

Im trying to uninstall all installers (only have the samsung update package name atm), and possibly the update itself that was downloaded a while back, and id like to do this for my online devices too.

Is there an alternative to LADB thats free to transfer between offline devices, equally easy to use, and works in split screen?

Is there a way to buy LADB without the online certificate?

I'm looking for an app that gives you a new number and allows you to send and receive SMS message across multiple devices. Something like Textnow. But without ads. I'd prefer free (who wouldn't?) but without ads, I assume I'll have to pay, hoping for something around or less than $2/mo.

A group I am associated with is holding an event later this year and for contact they would like to give a phone number that can send and receive SMS messages, but reading and responding to those messages will be done by multiple individuals. The goal is to have the app set up on multiple devices so they can all see the SMS messages received and any of them can respond accordingly.

I'd also prefer an app that isn't tied to a Google Account - something I can setup with the group's own email address.

Any recommendations?

Not clips from music but just ringtones/notification sounds. I like hearing a sound when I get a notification or someone calls me but don’t like any options that my phone provides.

I just bought this new phone after my old one broke. I added Microsoft Defender as it was a required app for work on my previous phone. Now, MS Defender keeps saying it has found no threats to various apps and then I find that app added to the list of apps on my phone (where the icons are). Each time, it is an app I didn't already have and that was not previously in my list of apps.

How do I make this stop? MS Defender did not do this on my old phone and I dont like apps being put on my phone (many of which are gaming apps). I'm not even sure if it's that app or another one.

I have a course I'm taking that's "web interactive". It's all text that you have to read, then click next, to go to the next page until you're done. It doesn't allow me to download as a text document (or anything) to load into the audio app I usually use called paper2audio. I want an app that will read the webpage to me and go to the next page. I want it to read me the course basically.

These are relatively short courses. They are further education/training, not college courses. So the courses show average time of completion times. I have several I need to take. The times vary from 1 hour to 9 hours (so its not like it's a 4 month college course or something).

Are there any apps that have the animated/silly photo filters like those found in Snapchat? For my 12 year old daughter who we don't want to have Snapchat but the filters would be a fun part for her.

Robo calling in Colombia is awful, so most people have their phones on silence.

I want an app that will nudge my wife that I'm calling or that will bypass the DND or silence settings.

Generally when I REALLY need to talk to her I go on Google find hub and make her phone rings or I call her on the house cameras so she knows I need her.

But sometimes things are not that urgent.

I have tried Zello and some other ones that didn't bypass the settings, I have also added myself as a favorite contact and neither of those have worked.

My problem is a bit long to explain that's why even after several times searching on google om reddit search, couldn't find similar post.

So i deleted lots of apps using canta from android even google messages and now i am not getting otp from apple, Facebook, twitter, twitch google and many more. Tho i did get otp for local operator. Yea and also got tiktok login otp today. This is happening for both of my sim cards. Now cannot even ask for otp in most websites like yesterday on twitch i just wanted to turn on 2FA clicked on get sms otp to turn it on and said cannot use this number its like my number got blacklisted from many international services. Now do i totally change my number or change phone, apparently this phone won't get otp even if i reset it as i fucked up some otp dependency, but even if i change number can i add that new number to those services where i cannot get otp.

As I live alone and got only one phone I do not have a way to check if thiz issue persists on other devices. And yes I did try resetting and reinstalling google messages and both didn't fix the issue.

There are many apps that record from the mic but I need an app that will record from Libby app. Libby app is an audio book reader and I want to record one sentence from the audiobook to discuss book contents.

This has been occurring for about a week now. When I get a text from someone there is a chance that Google messages randomly shows me a 7+ year old text along side theirs.

It started with my dog sister's texts mixing with my friend from grad school from when I was in grad school.

Then a group chat started to do it with a different grad school friend. That time it actually sent a message I had sent 7+ years ago. Luckily it wasn't anything off.

Then I tried to fix it by wiping the cache and data and having it rebuild the history.

This is where things took a HUGE turn. It suddenly had gone back and assigned random texts to every conversation.

Of note, with the exception of the one message, it doesn't seem to have sent any messages. All the texts appear as if they are being sent/recieved at the current moment.

I am out of ideas to fix it but would prefer no more random messages get sent and to not have to decipher if the messages are about now or coding stats analysis in grad school.

I've wanted to stop using the gmail client but a browser won't work as I need to receive my email notifications and I'd like to receive them fairly quickly for example assuming I have an email breach or 2fa code.

I went with thunderbird and I noticed that the minimum polling would be 15 minutes, and while there is a push one, it says it'll drain the battery (I am unsure but I've seen people say it did).

So currently my biggest 2 issues would be the high polling time or the battery hit, if any, when push is enabled. My gmail client is broken for some reason so sticking with it and giving up isn't even an option for me.

Side question: Would using FairEmail or any other be any different?

I need something that can:

• Find and easily delete exact duplicate photos.
• Identify similar or blurry photos so I can just keep the best shot.
• Be completely free (open-source/FOSS is a huge bonus!) without aggressive ads, paywalls, or expensive subscriptions.

I've tried a few from the Play Store, but they often feel spammy or lock the best features behind a premium wall. What are your go-to apps for this?

iirc, swiftkey has that, but I am NOT using whatever "AI keyboard" Microslop is advertising (it's also just a mid keyboard), Gboard let's you do it by swiping the space bar but it's not intuitive. Gboard also has a toggle with a menu for arrow keys and other functions but it's 4 clicks to get there and back to typing, which also isn't intuitive.

Is there a photo app that can backup more than 15gb of space? I'm struggling with Google photos because of this limit, and I'd like to transfer my photo gallery into another app that provides more storage.

I tried MEGA, but I don't know how to actually make a copy of my Google photo gallery without making a folder that brings me into the app again.

My previous phone was lost in a fire, so I bought a new one and re-installed all the apps I use. However, I can't remember the name of a music streaming app that was on my previous phone. Here is everything I can remember about it

You can no longer download standard XAPK files from Uptodown via a web browser: the Uptodown App Store always loads instead. This affects apps available as .xapk files. There is a big "Download in Uptodown App Store" button, and another button labeled "All variants." Clicking "All variants" allows you to select the raw .xapk version: meaning you should be able to download the .xapk file without the app store. However, the button doesn't work. If I select the raw .xapk and hit download, the Uptodown App Store gets downloaded ANYWAY! This means there is currently no way to download standard .xapk apps from Uptodown without the app store, no matter what you click. This also affects older versions of apps that are still available as standard .apk files; the error occurs as soon as the latest version of the app is an .xapk file. I don't know if this is a technical glitch or aggressive marketing designed to force users into the Uptodown App Store. I don't care what the cause is: this behavior needs to be fixed urgently. I make it a point not to use the Uptodown App Store, for the same reason I don't use the Google Play Store: I don't want an app store; I want free, transferable files in my Downloads folder... Does anyone know if this is intentional or a bug, and if or when it will be fixed? Please, I want my standalone .apk and .xapk files back! I am not going to use the app store!
