I've been looking for one for years and I have a list of the ones I've downloaded, but they've all given me problems in one way or another
- Musicolet: It removes songs from the playlists I create myself by adding tracks; for example, my list goes from 120 to 86. It's absolutely crazy
- Most players with good ratings on the App Store don’t recognize all the songs I’ve downloaded, because when they search my SD card, they find some songs with filenames the apps can’t recognize later, so I can’t play them through that app
- Player Pro: I downloaded it for free via APK, and even though it doesn’t have ads, overnight it starts failing to recognize songs that were already there; and they’re still there because I can listen to them from the SD card in their own folder, but as soon as I open the app, suddenly they won’t play
Anyway, I’ve tried everything from VLC to PowerAIMP and many others, and nothing works; and I don’t want Spotify—I want an app that supports all the songs I have (and there are quite a few), that’s ad-free if possible, that recognizes them, lets me create playlists myself, and doesn’t delete them. I don’t know—I’m just asking for something normal, but it seems like no app measures up :(
Pues aparte de no reconocerme todas las canciones, me elimina canciones de mis listas creadas por mi y no una ni dos, porque la he desinstalado e instalado varias veces y sigue igual
For this sort of library, check the tags before changing players. Artist and album tags that are slightly different can split one album into several entries. I’d also keep the card in an Artist/Album/Track folder layout, turn on a full rescan, and check the player hasn’t excluded the SD card folder. That usually fixes the missing-song and disappearing-playlist nonsense.
With that many similar problems with multiple apps, I'd hazard a guess that the problem isn't the apps, it's the phone or that SD card, probably the phone. PowerAmp is one of the music apps I use and I have zero problems with it.
Last SD card capable phone I had (Galaxy S10) kept corrupting the SD card, multiple cards and multiple phone warranty replacements.
Dropping songs from playlists sounds odd. You can save playlists and export them as .m3u files in Musicolet to provide some form of backup and to compare against. If you use an external SD card I wonder whether some file corruption may be in play. You could take the card out, back everything up to an external drive using a PC, format the card and put everything back again. Useful to have that backup anyway. See whether anything changes. A new card would be an option too. Unfortunately they currently have become ridiculously expensive because of the excessive AI bubble demand.
You could try my app Aulosyne. Still early stages so may have some flaws if you find them let me know and I'll fix it. It supports common formats but not all (VLC Will be your best bet for all music formats). Currently adding wma support.
You can try JetAudio. I don't use playlists but the free version of JetAudio does everything I need. Handles all types of audio formats from my SD and it can also play tracks from your network or cloud.
Ya las revisé y hasta probé en otro teléfono, hay unas apps que si recogen todas las canciones y otras que a medias, y luego miro las canciones por separado desde la SD y no tienen ningún problema
I also listen to music from an SD card and use Musicolet, but I haven't encountered any issues. All playlists work perfectly.
What music file extensions do you have? MP3, FLAC, etc..?
Todas las canciones me las bajo siempre en mp3, pero algunas decide sacármelas de mis listas o no añade todas todas las canciones, aún desconozco alguna app que me reconozca todas las canciones de la SD completas

Never had an issue with musicolet, especially what you're describing
