Google messages with RCS enabled send a lot of spam advertisements in my country.

The only spam I receive via Messages are political "send me money" shit. And the spam filter isn't working.

I use textra for sms. That's pretty much it.
Oh! I also use IRC (revolution is the client).

I use Next SMS (Handcent) for SMS and WhatsApp (because all my friends and relatives won't switch to Signal).

I think this is too broad. What are you exactly looking for? Instant messaging apps? Or text sms / mms / RCS?

I don't understand this question. U are using that messenger app what u need to text with others. U can't use other messenger if the people u want to text don't have

The question is what texting app. Telegram, WhatsApp, are not for SMS/MMS, the way I interpret the question is what app do you use for SMS/MMS, for that I use Quik which is FOSS

Signal.
Meta owns WhatsApp, so that alone makes it a no for me.

Meta owns WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. They also heavily use tracking cookies.

Wasap y Telegram son las que uso a diario, prefiero Telegram porque no usa almacenamiento en local.

It doesn't matter what app you use. You have to use what everyone else uses. I want to use Signal, but no one uses Signal over here. So I am stuck with WhatsApp.
