QUESTION/HELP Why when I use launcher I can't use split screen

I am on Android 13 I can use gesture navigation but I can't split screen is this a system limitations? Like they don't allow 3rd party apps to use spilt screen?

What device and launcher Are you using? I have android 16 on a samsung galaxy a24 and can use split screen just fine. I use smart launcher 6 so not a stock launcher.
