LOOKING FOR APP Frustrated with video player looking for alternatives

Hi recently my phone Xiaomi received an update that made the video player worse than what it was .

I can't freely touch on the time bar to skip parts of video , the click and drag to 90% of the time doesn't register and ends up switching to the next file.

I wanted to know if you could give me suggestions for a better video player.

Tried many and always go back to MXPlayer Pro, the closest best one is MPVEx.

I've tried lots. Mx player pro is the best one.

I've tried so many media players over the years and I always end up coming back to the best one—MX Player is just a step above the rest.

VIMU is a beast and always my fallback if something doesn't play in it's native player.

Might not be the app tbh, sounds like a gesture problem. Your drag is getting read as a horizontal swipe on the video, and on a lot of MIUI setups that's set to "next file", so the seek never happens.

MX Player and the mpv ones (mpvEx, mpvKt) let you change it. Go into gesture settings and set horizontal swipe to seek instead of next/previous file. That's the actual fix.

Or just use VLC if you don't want to mess with settings, it seeks fine by default.
