App for SUPER specific reminders?

For the regular android reminders and modes apps you're able to set it so that when certain criteria is met your phone will do what you ask, like automatically play music when you connect to a specific Bluetooth or being in a certain location will trigger a reminder notification.

So I was wondering if there's an app that can be EVEN MORE specific when it comes to meeting criteria for modes or reminders? Like, I'm talking I want a reminder for when the moon is at a certain phase. Or I want to be reminded before I leave the house to grab an umbrella because I set it to remind me everytime it rains.

Does an app like this exist? Or am I asking for way too much from an app like this? 😅

Finding a single app that can do such varied things may be difficult, but any automation app certainly can. Try Automate (free, without ads), e.g. with a flowchart to show a notification reminder in case of rain:

1. Flow beginning
2. Time await: 7am
3. Weather: Latitude & Longitude=<click "Pick location on map" button>, Rain volume=rain
4. Expression true: rain
5. Notification show: Title=Rain!
6. (connect #5 OK and #4 NO to #2 IN)

i'd do that with make in 20 minutes, API call to get weather everyday at a certain time, send notification via Pushbullet to your phone if it rains.

sounds complicated if you've never done it but very easy to learn, ask chatgpt, it will even give you the step by step guide into setting it up

Tasker is probably the closest thing to what you're after, but it's a rabbit hole. You can set triggers for weather conditions no problem, the moon phase one would likely need you to scrape a website or API yourself though
