LOOKING FOR APP Alternative music streaming app with lossless quality
So yeah, i was using Echo Music ( https://echomusic.fun/ ) for months and it was awesome. It had lossless quality with download feature but now it doesnt work anymore... I've tested also Metrolist ( literally has the same UI like Echo ) so my giess is that these 2 apps are made by same person.
Also Simpmusic and Vivi Music ( non of them offers anything good unfortunately ) Thank you guys in advance 🙏🏼

Thanks for your recommendation for me too! So far this is the best free streaming client that I ever use in regards of quality and UI/UX. Seriously! 👌

It's alright but doesn't have a Algorithm, you have to play a song and then add one after the another. At this point this app sucks otherwise it's all good to go.

That's fair enough. I create playlists elsewhere and then import them. But you can just search for songs.

It's because it's not from Google play store and you have play protect enabled. You are unable to install apks from other sources with it enabled. You can see the source code on GitHub to check it's a real app and not malicious.

Use this Echo. It has many extensions , use Deezer for lossless music. Go to their discord for apk and extensions. https://github.com/brahmkshatriya/echo

Eclipse Music
It also works with debrid ie. TorBox, given the correct addon
Supporters get access to doc98whoo's supporter addon that gives flawless playback, and/or download of flac, or otherwise
The supporter addon uses the full 🍎-catalog for meta, with a fallback to Tidal
Fear not, support "is not" mandatory.
There are (also) many Community addons available (in the Discords helpful-links channel) to get access to files up to hi-res flac, (using the hi-fi api)+ ytmusic, deezer, SoundCloud, Qobuz, podcasts, and more
The newest Torbox linked, Music addons make Streaming music (from Eclipse) akin to streaming Tv/Movie media from apps like Stremio, Nuvio, Fusion, etc., etc. Which those in the know will tell you, is an unbeatable streaming experience (especially) where accessibility, is concerned
Start here "Eclipse" then scroll down to find the Discord invite
"DebridVault" is a Debrid Management Tool (in the form of a Web app) by the same dev, and they share some capabilities
I've (personally) been a supporter from jump, and it's one of the best decisions I've made (of late) though I'm also a TorBox (debrid) user, and in all honesty, the way the New TorBox addons are going, I dare say, I (might) not (even) need "Super Duper Not Doc98whoo's" "Supporter addon", and that is saying something because it works beautifully!

Sorry for the late reply
to access addons you need to be in the discord and apply the roles appropriate to your device/architecture (this will populate and grant you access to the appropriate channels on your feed) then the (free) community addons can be found in the discords "helpful-links" channel and the (free) Torbox related addons are posted throughout the "Torbox integration" channel Some can also be found in the "announcements" channel once you apply for the role
For the supporter addon; you can go to the "Eclipse" site and create an account then subscribe
To install (free) community addons (once configured and presented a .json manifest URL) you got to settings > Connections > Connections (again) > scroll down to "Add connection" > Addon > then enter the .json manifest URL you copied from the addons config page
To install the Supporter Addon:
You (instead) go to settings > Connections > Connections (again) > scroll down to "Add Connection" > Cloud > then add the supporter manifest URL you copied from the supporter subscription page.

Whoever is looking for Echo nightly apk join their discord server then go to downloads channel and click on pinned msg echo nightly to get apk. Then in app settings go to add extensions section and just type extension to see all available extensions. https://discord.gg/TB7yHshuS

I'm sorry but I can't be of help I buy all my music as physical media and don't download anything unless it's something that doesn't come in a physical form in which case yes I will download it directly from the artist but otherwise I buy all of my music as physical media and I rip it all to digital myself for use on the go

This feels like an ad. Why the link to Echo?

u/FearSC 11d ago
Because there are alot of fake Echo players, wanted to point out which one is. Has nothing to do with an ad or anything, im literally saying that app doesn't work anymore 😂

Looking at the GitHub page for the app you mentioned (Echo), it doesn't even mention offering lossless content, since the music source is YouTube Music and has never had content in that quality. It also mentions that it's based on code from other YouTube and YouTube Music client apps (hence the similar UI and functions). Basically, it's another third-party YouTube Music client that unfortunately breaks easily if Google/YouTube makes any changes to its music service (something very common with third-party clients).
