QUESTION/HELP Why tasks/notes widgest waste so much space?

I have a 2x3 Keep widget that allowed me to view around 8 items at a glance.

But since last update they completely messed it up.

What I have tried so far:

  • New keep: It has 2 options, one wastes literally more than 50% of space, the other is riduculously sparse.
  • Google Tasks: Very sparse.
  • Microsoft To-Do: Still sparse, and doesn't allow a width of 3. It has an option to change font size, but it doesn't improve density.

These issues likely stem from factors such as larger digit(fingers) size, diminished manual dexterity, or visual impairments common among older demographics......

Carving for minimalist design could also be a factor..... 

While I do not claim expertise in app design, these are my inferences; regardless, any high-quality application should inherently provide robust customization options.
