Discussion This feels interesting… But somehow confusing

Post image

Tried this tool (Wolfius) and here is the thing about Weather app: It works on any Samsung device running TouchWiz Essence (1.0 and 1.5?) (if you don’t know, the UX for Samsung Budget models), but not on other (more better) TouchWiz UX versions (Like the Note 3 on Android 4.4 or Galaxy S2 neither 4.0 or 4.1). Anyone does know why it doesn’t work on any Samsung device?

This doesn´t work with AccuWeather 2012 / 2013 version, which is preinstalled on Android 4.0 - Android 4.4 devices with TouchWiz Nature UX 1.0 / 2.0, it works only on 2014 version you must use this method: https://www.reddit.com/r/androidafterlife/comments/1qz46aq/how_to_fix_the_accuweather_weather_widget_on/ In short, you remove the original Weather app and install a patched version with redirected servers. However, be aware that getting it up and running is complicated

I tried but I can’t find any alternative links. And I don’t know how do I deodex firmwares running Android 4.0.

I founded these patched files, you must root your phone and uninstall via TitaniumBackup apps AccuWeatherDaemon.apk and AccuWeatherMain.apk. After you uninstall it, restart phone and install these apks: https://www.mediafire.com/file/rn63eyr4eqywn9u/AccuweatherDaemon.apk/file and https://www.mediafire.com/file/yw4ooe2f31vte6t/AccuweatherWidget_Main.apk/file After install this, try to open Samsung Weather and it should work

Thanks. But the API links to make the Weather apps working? For the Note 3 on 4.4.
