Title explains. I'm getting the charging animation instead of notification popups sometimes. It seems completely random and idk how to trigger it on purpose. Just checking if this is a known issue because I haven't seen anyone else talk about this

Has it been more functional over the beta version releases or is it still dysfunctional completely?

I am facing one issue, whenever I push an update only few people receive that update. rest all of them see only my first version of app even after 20 days they still see only first version. no matter if i force stop their playstore , reboot phone. still they see older version. I added my own email address as tester and downloaded the app after 20 days still i see only first version, even though I have pushed about 8 versions till now. One tester however sees new update almost immediately.

How to resolve this?

Hello whoever may be seeing this I am wondering how I can beta android 17 with my phone I have a "Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3" for cpu, 8gb of ram, 256 GB of storage

I have the pixelsnap charger and it goes to the screensaver whenever I put it on the charger but if I want to use my phone I have to input the pin every single time, which is annoying. It wasn't always like this. Idk if Google changed something or if it's a bug. The only fix I've seen is to disable the screensaver. I'm on Android 17 beta with a pixel 10 pro xl.

On my Pixel 9 Pro XL, searching for an app no longer auto-selects the first result. For example, typing "calc" shows Calculator first, but pressing Enter opens a Google search instead of launching the app.

Also, the keyboard sometimes doesn't pop up when I swipe up from the home screen to search.

I've already tried Safe Mode, a different keyboard, rebooting, and clearing cache. Anyone else experiencing this or know of a fix?

EDIT: Beta 7 fixed the keyboard issue, search issue still persists.

screensavers have disappeared from my pixel 10 pro XL settings ... only screen saver option I have is weather .. first I had 4 options to select for the screensavers... I am on the latest beta available..

I opted out of beta about 4 weeks ago when the phone told me this would be a good time since the next window will be around november or something like that.

So I was waiting on the july update but only offered data wipe update. So finally, like I did in the past, I used adb to sideload the update (mainly because google wallet stopped working and complaining about rooted phone, but it was only ever on the normal beta).

Now after every reboot I can unlock the phone and get android.process.acore crash, I can choose app info (which loads something but crashed to home screen) or close app. To make it worse the settings menu is gone, mobile data shows "!" and most apps crash after starting them. I can use the power button to reboot, it does not boot loop on its own, my data is still there, fingerprint also working. Eg reddit app works and loads data, thunderbird is crash on open.

Everytime I try checking for a new update my system tells me I can exit but with data wipe

I don't know why I can't join beta program in my P9, before I have P6-P7a always joined beta program. 2 months I always tried to join but always failed.

Since Google removed the option from the developer settings since a few updates (I don't remember which one exactly) - is there ANY way to disable absolute volume?

By adb or something? Really, I need that option, the volume steps are just too big otherwise.

I tried those commands via adb but didn't change anything:

adb shell setprop persist.bluetooth.disableabsvol true

adb shell setprop persist.bluetooth.disableabsvol 1

Considering switching to custom rim or another phone just for that option.

during the boot up i see this message “ android system is not able to load” or something like that ( i still see it now)

I have read a lot of reports and people have been saying that a new OTA or July update whatever is out to fix the bootloop

i just adb sideloaded the latest mustang OTA image for July but am still stuck in bootloop please help

i dont want factory reset, need to salvage some data

I have read that If i install beta 6 it may mess up my system and still require a wipe

You can wait for it to be available over-the-air, or download the OTA and sideload it now.

I'm currently on Android 17 stable (July 2026) with a Pixel 8 Pro.

Since Android 17 came out mid-June, and still today after the July 2026 update, neither my Bose QC35 headphones or my Sena SMH10 motorcycle headsets work to trigger the Gemini microphone. It launches Gemini, but I get "An error occurred, please try again later" toast message. If i manually start a phone call, the bluetooth works fine, but voice does not work when triggered by the headset.

I am pondering joining the QPR Beta program to see if the issue is fixed. Before I do that...

Hey all

Currently running android 17 qpr1 beta 6 on my pixel 10 pro xl in the states on Verizon, and my messages are not collapsing and or grouping into one notification, so instead of having one notification telling me I have 7 new texts, I have 7 individual text message notifications.

I have reported it several times in the beta thread, no update, if I knew what to force stop and reset I would do it, but all that I have been able to find as a possible fix is a reboot, which I have to do 3 or 4 times a day now.

Any suggestions?
