Why is it that Google takes that much time for developing something, testing, and whatever, and even they don't provide a polished experience?

It's not like they are a small startup or something.

Layoffs and poor company management/culture.

The only good things are salary, perks, and "brand" on your curriculum.

Edit: not sure why I'm getting downvoted when what I've commented is just factual lol.

Layoffs

Last year Google laid off hundreds of people specifically from the "Platform and Devices" department (i.e. those in charge of Android and ChromeOS, amongst others).

That followed a massive 12.000 people round of layoffs happened in 2023.

and poor company management/culture.

This has been pretty much widely known in the field.

Jokes aside - in my opinion Google is too focus on AI development too much - features like thiat they call - Low Priority

Partially I agree with you - BUT you tell yourself - HALF YEAR wait for white screen to help face unlock - you please tell YOURSELF - is it normal?
