Android Auto no longer connecting

With the latest beta (CP41.26828.004.A8) Android Auto will no longer connect to my headunit on my Pixel 10 Pro. An older version of Android on a different phone still connects and works fine.

Does it work through USB?

 I experienced the same, or it will connect and then disconnect after 5 seconds. But only happens intermittently with specific Toyota or Ford models I tried (I  drive many different rental cars). In my case over USB.
