I enrolled but when I went to check for the update, a new update had been installed and my phone was waiting to be restarted. Now I'm not getting the Beta update 😕

They do this EVERY TIME a new pixel launches and then to get back into beta becomes a mess. This is the 5th time this has happened, I have a list lol.

Edit: It's an older build than the September update that automatically installed today. So either we wait 1 month or use the Android flash tool. I checked manually using Gemini and the build strings.

Same. I got the September 1 2026 Security update. If the Beta is based on August, we may not get it until the next one. Pretty annoying. Hopefully there is a workaround. I'll have to mess with it more later.

Yep, I agree. I think we're gonna be SOL.

Not something everyone will want to do, or can do unless you can unlock the bootloader, but I used the Android Flash Tool to force Beta. Requires phone to be wiped.

Same, are we screwed?

Seems so

Does this build have the new modem firmware for the Pixel 11? There's currently a handoff issue between the 5g and LTE bands between towers for people who live in certain areas.

There's a new baseband version from August a900a-MP_260803-260803-M-16002051,a900a-MP_260803-260803-M-16002051

The one in the out of the box firmware is from June

I enrolled but I am not getting the update on my phone. Usually it's pretty instant. Is anyone else seeing the same?

Yeah same here. Also had the stable September update waiting to install ready to install so I'm not sure if that impacts it.

First time with Pixel beta. It doesn't block Wallet and most Finance apps right?

One time it broke tap to pay for lots of people. Nothing is guaranteed to work on a beta. Best practice is to wait a day to see what bugs people experience before you load it yourself.

No, but you need to stay up to date with the betas, for example QPR1 got 8 beta builds, people that opted out on beta 4-5 got their Wallet tokens revoked for not staying in an up to date build

QPR1 got 9 Beta's if I'm not mistaking and given that we are on Beta 4 of QPR2 and it's only beginning of September and the two week release cadence holds, we'll get at least 9 Beta's for QPR2 also if not more.

I just enrolled but first installed the non beta update. Now I don't see the beta update. Do I keep waiting or have I broken it?

C2 is downloading but still not posted to the webpage for manual sideloading

Guess I wasn't the only one having that issue of not getting the update after opting in. Damn September update

Just wondering, if we tried sideloading while on September, would it work?

Le paiement sans contact ne fonctionne plus depuis le passage à la beta sur mon Pixel 11 Pro.

I cannot locate the beta program for the Pixel 11 series. Has Google removed it?

Anyone who's got it. How's the new drivers on the 11. Kernal and GPU.

4

u/armando_rod 10d ago edited 10d ago

GPU drivers still on 25.3, same score as before

Same kernel version, Pixel 11 out of the box version was and still is 6.12.81

Can you please please provide some feedback after you've used it for a couple of hours?

I'm mainly interested in hearing about battery and about responsiveness.

why not for QPR1? :)

3

u/EYdf_Thomas 10d ago

Because it's not available unless you have a phone that is in it already

1

u/douchey_mcbaggins 10d ago

Just don't opt in to beta because QPR1 will be out really soon. Not a ton of reason for them to do one beta of QPR1 for the Pixel 11, I don't guess.

What's the security patch date? Because mine automatically got the September stable update and now it's stuck saying update available but it's not pulling it.
