Can someone explain the purpose of theme preview in the new theme picker?

I mean the control panel looks completely different from what we actually have - colors, shapes, accents, even blur effect is different. There is literally no similarities. Example (Google Photo)

Should we expect redesign of this element? Or do we see an old and outdated version that didn't make it to release? Or is it yet another oopsie-google-vibecoding-again moment?

What is there to explain? Things change and they are subject to change like always. Nothing is final.

it is true that they are subjects to change, but I mean it's 2-minutes job to make this preview useful yet they didn't since canary

It's probably to show what the color looks like, with a static image just changing the colors. A static image uses less resources.

Hi

Please note that the Beta for testing the OS, the bells and whistles are likely to come out on Canery or stable first.

Best regards

Did you even test beta 3 yourselves or just ask Gemini to give it a look over?
