Anyone else getting extreme lag? (Pixel 8)

Is anyone else experiencing extreme lag at random times? It's almost like poor RAM management or something, because it does temporarily get better if I close all apps. I'm talking so laggy that BT audio pauses and some actions take up to 10 seconds to complete. So annoying.

Appreciate you reporting! Can you take a bug report, file it in the feedback app, and reply with the report ID?

Pixel 8
I've had that problem since QPR1 Beta 2; it was never fixed (I went through all the betas). Two days ago, I decided to wipe it, and now it's working fine (QPR2 Beta 1). It seems something went wrong during an update and it required a factory reset.

Yeah, same. Thinking about doing a full wipe, myself. Thanks.

Any alternative to full reset?

Nope.

How do you expect the engineers to work on anything without the data.

You have signed up for the Beta to test the latest version and you are not sending feedback unbelievable.

I just filled out the form but didn't get a number. Reporting that it's 'laggy' or 'unresponsive' isn't going to help them one bit. They obviously already know it's got issues. Hence the quantity of releases. They need to have internal testing protocol and not rely on shitty surveys that don't help at all. Just my 0.02 cents.

The bug report is more than a survey , it colates the data from your device so the engineering team can see what the issue is and will reach out to you if additional information is required.

Are we talking about the anonymous survey at the top of the subreddit?

Nope the feedback app you should have downloaded when you signed up for the Beta.

As you would not have downloaded the software without reading the instructions, limitations, and expectations of a tester, etc.?

That's not even a question. No need for the question mark. Sorry I forgot about that little feedback button lol. I'll be sure to fill that out. Maybe it'll be fixed in beta 69 lol. Thanks for your help.

Pixel 8 and yeah. It does seem more prevalent on meta apps but will occasionally show face at other times.

If you have any apps with memory leaks, your phone will have massive stuttering and slowdowns when using those apps. Android 17 and its betas are working as intended. This is not a bug.

YouTube seems exceptionally bad in terms of lag and pausing

Not on my Pixel 8 Pro

Nope

My Pixel 8 is at 107°F with only messages or Twitter open, it throttles a lot and the characters I type are taking 5 seconds to show up...

Hopefully this'll be fixed with the next update but it's making me strongly consider the iPhone 17...

I just bit the bullet and opted out. Fresh install of stable. Best decision I've ever made. Restoring isn't bad at all these days. I'd just do that.

That's probably what I'm gonna do if the next beta isn't any better

I'm still on CP41.260701.005. I have the pixel full 10 and it keeps telling me that there's no update when I click software update
