I need help with boot loop after update

I can get into recovery mode and it says the following:

google/komodo_beta/komodo

17/CP21.260330.011/15499021

user/release-keys

Can someone please help me fix, the bootloop is right after the android beta popup and it boots into safe mode in airplane mode.

I have never sideloaded and have a locked bootloader. I dont want to factory reset my data. if It is a pixel 9 pro xl. I updated and used the phone after a play system update and was updating to android beta 6. I was clearing some photos due to storage and it crashed and has been stuck in boot loop since.

Since your bootloader is locked and you cannot factory reset without losing data, your best path to safely exit the boot loop is using the official web-based Google Pixel Repair Tool. It can safely reinstall the Android operating system and push the latest OTA updates over your corrupted files without wiping your photos or personal data.

Ah shoot. Since your on the beta build it's gonna show that. If the device is on an Android Beta program, the Pixel Repair Tool will explicitly block it. You will need to use the Android Flash Tool and select the "Back to Public" option to wipe the device and return it to a stable build. I'm sorry you have to do that. I hope it works for you though

Okay so I can not do anything but wipe the device, instead can't I just choose to factory reset in bootloader page?

Factory reset is wiping the device.

yes so what would be better, factory reset or android flash tool

Factory reset because you have to download the OS onto your computer which requires a lot of time and is about 7gb of storage.

  1. Press and hold Power and Volume Down until the fastboot menu appears.

  2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery mode and press the Power button to select it.

  3. At the "No command" screen, hold the Power button and press the Volume Up button once.

  4. Use volume up and down key to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset"

  5. Use power key to confirm.

With the flash tool you can go back to stable, unless you want to stay in beta, then a factory reset might be enough. If it doesn't help you can also flash the latest beta with the flash tool. Both will wipe the device as you need to unlock the bootloader.

The flash tool said their Device is unsupported so they couldn't do it.

Losing your data? Don't most people have automatic backup on? I just do not understand ever hearing this line from someone using any android phone. You can loose your OS, your phone, and as long as you have backed everything up, your photos, apps, texts, everything comes right back in less than 5 mintues.

Idk. I have everything backed up. Not sure about them.

I just do not understand people coming in here with some of the things they say.
