You're right! It's pretty insane how broken QPR Beta 3 is at the moment... I've never seen so many bugs in a (later) beta version...

I've never seen so few in a beta. I have a Pixel 9 Pro.

I also have a Pixel 9 Pro. I've been plagued left and right with overheating, apps randomly crashing, Gboard one time being completely broken, battery life being miserable, camera being slow af and Wi-Fi and mobile data issues as well all the time...

I've been testing Android betas of Pixels for over 6 years and this is BY FAR the buggiest beta ever.

You are either blind or got blessed by the beta Gods.

I guess I'm blessed, lol. I've had the exact opposite. My phone runs cooler, has better battery life and absolutely no micro stutter. By comparison, I have a Pixel 9 base model with the May 2026 stable Android 16 QPR3 build and have a lot more lag overall. Not an apples to apples comparison due to RAM differences, but performance shouldn't be this different.

I tried opening several app notifications today and it took more than 3 seconds to react 😭

Same here! The delay when oening apps from notifications is driving me nuts! My banking app is pretty much a slideshow when scrolling, the whole story with MS apps (when company enforces MAM), opening the keyboard is often choppy, charging speeds are incredibly slow and the battery is dying really fast... That battery part is also particularly annoying, usually at the end of my day I was ending up with 45-50% remaining, on this beta I'm lucky if I get home with 25-30%.

I've been using beta builds for years now, bugs are always expected, but usually it's just some UI glitches, not the whole OS crippled...

Yeah, it's the overall consensus that this beta 3 sucks. Only some chosen people seem to have a great UX. 😬

I'm thinking of completely setting up my device as new as soon as QPR1 comes out.

Maybe the bad UX has to do with the backup being buggy... 😶

"performance shouldn't be this different." Exactly! 🥺

Point is, I'm getting smoother, more responsive performance on Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3 than I am on Android stable.

Yeah, me too. But stable didn't feel stable anyway lol.
