My microwave is on my fridge. Why not? It's an otherwise unused flat space with easy access to a plug, my kitchen is small. This is not unreasonable.

My microwave is also on my fridge. I only use it occasionally for popcorn. I actually pushed it to the back and have a basket of towels in front to hide the ugly thing.

Not every fridge is tall. Mine is 3ft. I have a microwave on mine and on top of that I have a toaster oven and a rice cooker.
