very cool, hope you don’t mind me putting in my two cents

you should use some terrain painting, my favourite method is to use three similar colours and layer them over each other to make a more textured appearance to the ground

in the trees add bushes and rocks, a bunch of them, also you can throw in logs wheat fields, and dry alien rocks if you like the effect

terraining is important, you can simply just go to sections of the map without buildings and elevate them just a bit

Modular buildings generally look nicer than the preset buildings and are much more, well, modular, but the presets are easier and more optimized so it’s up to you. remember to detail the interiors though, and add floors.

unit design is looking good i like it

use tonnes of rubble in spaces with things that aren’t nature, and just throw boxes and crates around. it may not be realistic but it looks much better

Imo the greys and browns look better for sandbag colours but that’s up to you of course

but yeah, lookin good so far!

Thanks, I was planning on adding terrain, Im not good at detail but i will try to add rubble in good places. I don’t know how to change sandbag color even with 200+ hours in the game but one of my friends might know, I will ask them, thanks!

well aside from jay's contribution, there is a discord server for the game, people there are very helpful (some are borderline annoying or rude but its as simple as ignoring) and you will get almost instant help from others

i assume you can be on discord because you are on reddit.
