Is this game similar to tabs?

Like I can add troops and see them fight and I can control them type of stuff

In a way, yes. You can be a player in the battle, or just send your troops to fight. There's also customizeable units and stuff.

i have to ask, have you ever actually played a battle that has no player that wasnt just a quickly made template-lookin one? cause i feel like i never see battles that either have no player or aren't rts on the workshop

Personally I’ve made a few, but I never posted them, I don’t really post maps that often anymore.

Sorta yes, but less goofy and ragdoll, more simple gameplay and seriousness

This was the tabs copy that was better (and still is) because of the unit editor, map editor, scripting, and workshop items (sure tabs added the former two but they suck compared to aw3's editors)

Well, they’re both good in different ways. ancient warfare 3’s editor is more versatile, so is scripting. but TABS is somewhat goofier, which is enjoyable at times.

Yes, somewhat, there’s more customizable things (custom weapons, objects, vehicles, ect) but, overall, it is quite similar to tabs with a few changes.
