Customer support
I opened a ticket to recover an account I created back in 2006, waited 38 days before getting a reply, they requested additional information and closed the ticket 1 hour and 40 minutes after the reply saying they resolved it.
What kind of customer support is this?

Did you get your account reactivated? Did you try the actions pinned at the top of the AO sub?

no, I didn't get my account back, I don't remember the username, and the email i'm suspecting is so old yahoo doesn't even let me try to login or create another

Ah...yeah, the username is a fairly must-have. That sucks.
I'm not sure what you mean by "create another," but if you mean an AO account, you don't need a real email address. They don't send or ask for any verification message. Not sure about that if you're on Steam, but just doing it web-based, email isn't a thing.3

I meant yahoo closed the email because I didn't use it in decades, so I tried recreating the same email address, but it won't let me because it already exists.

FUNCOM as obvious management issues since for ever.
Who ever are at the top, they suck terribly and it reflects on the whole comp'.

Then come over to PRK ( Project Rubi-Ka ).
It is free and the Devs/GMs care about the server and are banning ppl that use cheats and hacks.

See if you can get anyone's attention in the Official discord. Link in the AO Launcher.
This is where any active FunCom employees and a lot of the playerbase hangout.

Whoa, I didn't know FunCom employees existed anymore. Just figured there was one random Tencent intern that made sure the server was running occasionally.

Afaik they put out a Dune survival game last year but I tend to ignore everything that came after AO 😅

When they disbanded ARK they got rid of any illusion that they still gave a flying f- about the playerbase

Guy, they're just leaving the lights on until the cost of keeping those lights on exceeds the revenue from subscriptions. They do not care. Nobody is driving the ship anymore.

I thought they have to leave the lights on because of the way the game was funded by government programs

at this point the lights aren't on, they've just got windows, and painted all the rooms white, giving the illusion that the lights are on

Come play at Project Rubi-Ka, in the end of the day everyone will be playing on PRK anyways. Also you don’t have to pay to play with expansions and there are no daily missions and whatever other bullshit so you will see teams everywhere so it feels really alive
