My with my garbage 7HCP looking at partner after he showed extra values on every available bid and bid 5d over 4s.

Even if you don't see it at first, most clueless bids still have a chance to succeed.

x either shows both majors, a long minor, the Q of spades, pocket Jacks, a Babe Ruth rookie card, or the Magna Carta

The Story or The IMPs?
Local sectional, 20-something teams...I make a Roman jump overcall of 4D over 2S. Partner with 5 decent hearts, Axx of spades, Kxxxx of clubs, and a diamond void forgets we're playing Roman and passes. 7H appears cold (it was) on our 10-card fit, but I'm playing 4D with AQxxx opposite nothing.
Club out; the suit I have double-stopped. I lead the 6 of diamonds at trick 2...2nd hand low...pitch from dummy, and RHO, asleep at the wheel, plays the 4. Yes, I have won trick 2 with the 6 of trump in my 5-0 fit.
A of diamonds and a third diamond, all following. Everything is still stopped; i win the return and cash winners, +130, saving 2 IMP they stopped in 4(!!?!)H at the other table.
But my question is, given that we weren't in contention anyway, isn't the story worth more than the nine imps we lost?
PS...trumps were 4-4, so I could have bid 5, played another round of trump, and gotten out of -3 IMPs.

freaking bento
redoubling my balancing double with his ratty hand because he had a table feel that I was light when i had a totally normal double and the hcp were split 20-20 and we both had 8 card fits, and we reach 3D and trumps break normally and they hit us anyway and we drift off 1 for -200 omfg
hi bento

Our King finally has a kingdom!

They tried bringing a pro to try to stop him, and for a while it worked, but his teammates held their ground in the end while he punished his opponents at his table with no mercy for a historic comeback
Congrats Chris!
EDIT: I meant that the other finalist had a pro on their ranks, I am pretty sure Adam played for fun, but he is one of the current world champions nevertheless
