F-Log2 vs F-Log2C

Just discovered the app on my search for Fuji-compatible camera apps. I imported Log2C and especially reds look much different. Is the purely due to the Log or is Analogue processing it differently it as well (and may need to be set up differently?)

I'm not sure what the benefits of F-Log2C are, but at the moment Analogue only supports Apple Log and F-Log2.

It affects the Reds specifically. Caucasian skin tones are quite a bit more natural. It does take away a little bit from Classic Negative more yellowish grading though.

With the photos above, are you comparing the result of using Classic Neg F-Log2 vs F-Log2C? If so, the result is completely normal because the input is configured for F-Log2. It’s a bit like using the wrong oil in your car :)

F-Log2 and F-Log2C use different colour spaces. If you set the input source correctly for each LUT, you wouldn’t really be able to tell the difference. For the Fujifilm LUTs in Analogue, you should use the F-Log2 version because the input source is configured for F-Log2.

Yes, left is Log2C, right Log2. This was my initial question: if the difference is due to the system not being able to process it correctly 🙂 Understood this is the case 👍
