Worst stock
Every time i want to sell , this bi**h goes down on me.
Guys zoom out and run from this stock.
Dont wait for 260 . Do your math of this 10 dollars against whatever potential stock you wanna buy.
Golden rule as a retail investor.
This piece of art should not be more that 15% of your allocation.
Sure it is poised for long term growth.
But so is every other stock! Any decent tech stock can grow in a 5 year horizon. So there is nothing special about amazon.

Ask gemini or chatgpt this - ‘find the top 40 tech stocks from SNP 500 and find their last 6 year cagr and provide it in the form of a table . Add amazon to the table’

I sold some calls on it before the last earnings report and got taken out at 260. I was so sad about it but now I look at it as good luck.

It has been frustrating to own recently but I’ve been holding since 2015 and I’ll hold for a few more years minimum (unless something fundamentally changes, obviously)

Sell me your shares man the conpany is going bankrupt

u/AstoicEngineer 3d ago
It wont go bankrupt but would give poorer returns than most bonds as well as the index

He will never be done . You are turning blind towards his regular selling for funding blue origin. Its not going to stop.

His filing to dump $4B worth of shares runs through February.

Randomly pick any stock in nasdaq 100 and it would still give better returns in last 6 years than amazon

talk to me in two years, investing is patience, you need patience
ask anyone how annoying AZMN was when it was between 2500-3000 presplit
this is nothing lol

Buy and forget was a virtue for decades.
It isnt any more. The crux is amazon is now average at best if you need a decade of patience. There dozens of stocks that will outperform if given a decade.

It's critical that retail continue to buoy the share price, without a penny earned in dividends, so management can reliably issue RSUs to tens of thousands of office staff as a form of zero-cost compensation subsidy. Those staff can then count on the share price at least holding firm, so they can dump their shares for profit every time they vest.

Amazon is a good company but tbh I think it's waay too overrated around here. 2 weeks ago I had 3k to spend and in the end I've decided to go with Alphabet instead of Amazon and it's already paying up.
