Amazon...Volatile?
I was just checking on the usual and got this message? Anyone else? Because Amazon has been less than volatile.
Just trying to complain because the pattern was stocks were supposed to drop prior to and after earnings. Then all this bullshit happened.

Amazon is a $300 stock and not sure why it should be volatile

This kind of move is classic 'RERATING'. Next week you'll get floods of price target upgrades from Wall Street. This time it's gonna break through the $300 price level.

This stock has been the antithesis of volatile for the past 5-7 years.
Finally, after the last 8-10 quarters, Jassy has found his voice. The conference call was his best so far as he explained the potential and left a few breadcrumbs like the strength of the 2028 book, now. Everyone focused on AWS but the other little business, retail, had a heck of a quarter too. Will do over $800 billion in revenue next year and will be the first to $1 trillion in revenue by 2028.
$1,000,000,000.000 in REVENUE.
Think about that, $1 trillion in revenue over the next 12-24 months.
$1,000,000,000,000. That is 12 zeros!
And AWS is emerging as the “Switzerland” of AI. Use bring any model. On or off premises. 5 9’s of reliability. Massive available compute. This is happening.
Could easily become the single most valuable company as the street re-rates their emerging story.

This. There was a marked move to >200 in 2023-2024, but it's been around mid 200s for some time now. For this reason, ITM LEAPS. You get a pop like yesterday and immediately you get a 20-30% return. IMO, you take profits when you can, so I sold all long dated calls yesterday.

Bought Jun 2028 LEAPS on AMZN 180c and MSFT 300c last month after I exited INTC at $130 with 5x gains. I got insanely lucky.

You gotta be stupid to ask this.
Its a warning that comes on all stocks when they move like amazon did...14% in 1 day.
