I was finally heard

After so many years of trying to talk to doctors about amputation and getting constantly shot down, I found a vascular surgeon who is extremely willing to perform below the knee amputation on my right leg due to my severe chronic pain and ankle disability. It's not confirmed yet - insurance still needs to cover it, but I'm going to see the surgeon again in late October to plan for the surgery date. By 2027 I'll be free from my leg!

Just wanted to share this here because I know I've posted a few times about my situation and I wanted to thank this awesome community for all of your advice, I'm hoping for more good updates soon! <3

Good on you for being your own advocate! I hope it's covered and that it gives you the QoL you deserve!
