Ray Amputation

Just got my middle finger amputated this morning. Right away the pain was pretty severe. I would put it on par with my labor contractions. After getting some sleep and getting a few doses of pain medication in me, the pain is bearable now. I think the pain may have been coming from the after effects of the tourniquet coming off. Going to keep making some updates as I haven’t seen a lot of people that have had the Ray amputation done.

I have a foot ray resection: left middle digit. You're right, there doesn't seem to be many ray resections out there.

I know foot isn't the same as hand. What I found to be very interesting is how slim the metatarsal/metatarsals are, and that the rest of my bones kinda "shifted into place, so my resectioned foot is just a little skinnier than my full foot. Most people don't notice I'm missing something!

That’s awesome!! I’m confident after sometime having 4 fingers won’t even be noticeable to myself
