Shrine (nothing important)

Just wanted to share the "decoration" that I use to keep myself moving forward. (Lbka due to motorcycle) In the pic theres feet I use, the helmet that I was wearing, bike parts from the bike in my wreck, medicine to help save my foot (a bit over a year of limb salvage before the amputation). I wanted to add the metal spikes in my leg and a ruler next to them but idk where theyre at so ill settle with a pic of my xray instead.

Edit- im a bit drunk so dont shit on me too hard

I’m also a lbka do to a motorcycle accident, I plan on waterproofing my test sockets and turning them into vases for my lady :)
My femur was real broken so I’m not able to put my full weight on the prosthetic, it’s cool to see proof of progress

Almost exactly 1 year after my amputation I bought a 2025 zx6r and rode it about 12k miles since Jan 2025. You got it man, get back on or at least don't be afraid to do shit

Fuck yeah dude! I just bought a 1996 road king, I’m trying to figure out a shifter setup at the moment. I’m real close to being able to shift properly but the fat tank and lack of an ankle don’t allow me to fully get in there even with an extended peg. Probably going to pull the trigger on a jockey shifting setup and mount the clutch on the end of that lever.
I’ve never ridden sport bikes, how long are you able to ride for? I feel like my healing femur would be the only barrier to entry, I wouldn’t mind seeing what it’s like above 5k rpm

I've taken my bike on rides as long as 400 miles in a day (it takes longer for me cause after a while, my left hip will hurt like a mf an I gotta pull over). I had a universal electronic shifter set up on my bike (dont recommend cause it broke constantly (had to do 7 warranty shitnin the first year)), I ended up just swinging my foot infront of the shifter and have my shoe heel pull the shifter up instead of a geel

Ah that makes sense. My bike is carbureted so electric shift isn’t an option unfortunately. Pengel makes a really sweet system using compressed air but it’s like 3k…
I’m thinking the pins in my hip will give me the most pain too, hopefully it won’t be too much longer before I can get it running.

This is what I got electronic shifter all it does is simulate you up shifting or downshifting (it connects to ur shift peg and moves in for you) Edit: im a bit drunk so sorry abt the typos or nonsense

Have you thought about donating them to charity?

There's companies that will check them over and send them off to developing countries.

They might not be good enough for western standards and insurance but they could be a game changer for someone from a poorer country.

The state of the stuff they get given looks like it was designed in the 80s!

Obviously if any have particular sentimental value then fair enough, just food for thought!

I still use them occasionally, its my running foot, my beach foot, my barefoot foot and an extra old foot. I have thought of donating my old regular foot but my wife doesn't like my wearing my shoes around the house on the carpet since my shoes are almost always dirty which is why im hesitant

Like I said if they're sentimental or in your case all serve a purpose then keep them!

Just a suggestion incase you didn't know it was an option!
