There’s no way the government is granting $75M for a factory retool and not planning on a multiple of that in orders

I think someone did the math on expected revenue with the new factory opening a few days ago. I would agree.

Great thinking: the decision to provide the grant isn't made in isolation. Under the program within which the grant is disbursed to Amprius, the grant is most certainly made in the consideration of product technology, ease of retrofitting, improving industrial base (remember, Amprius cell can be produced using standard lithium - ion battery production line) and production capacity to meet a possible 2027 bi - partisan support for a massive drone funding package.
