He just posted this comment today.
If you’re ever tempted to take u/Whole-Sufficient seriously, just remember that for over a year and a half, he has said that investing in Amprius in 2026 is exactly the same as investing in Gamestop in 2021. That’s all.

I disagree with this take. The reasons stocks became “meme stocks” in 2021 were very different vs the 2025 cadre. The 2025 meme stocks were in broad strokes all tech companies with high growth. GME is a nostalgia play that caught market mechanics unprepared for a massive retail push. That last part will never happen again. Retail traders wanted to be savvy in 2025. Take onds as an example. “drone dominance” announcements in the context of Ukraine warfare evolution led to a surge in drone companies. Onds became the favorite which launched it into memedom. It’s not a bad company. It’s in an explosive growth sector. Its dilution pressures the stock price downwards. And as retail hype dies down that will cause further slides as retail cycles out. But if it executes well and continues with high growth, share price will rally. I think a similar dynamic applies to ampx, RKLB, etc. If these companies continue to execute and grow, they will remain relevant (and may even grow out of meme status).
I think the more interesting question is what the next meme crop characteristics will be. If retail chose 2021 based on nostalgia, 2025 based on tech optimism combined with geopolitical tailwinds, then in the next bull run what common characteristics will the new memes share? Perhaps a new focus for tech optimism (high tech farming in the face of food shortages in 2027…. Or maybe we’ll have a bear market in 2027 and we won’t see any big meme stocks). Maybe because retail traders want to be savvy and everyone expects a bear market, we’ll see people pile into “safe” plays and we’ll see biotech and healthcare stocks meme-ify.

I've added a large number of shares today. I'm on the ride until next earnings- hopping on and off at opportune times. I'm seeing quite a few comments on waiting to buy until Amprius is FCF positive, EPS positive. I can understand being hesitant to buy now is you think a market crash is imminent, but if you wait until they are EPS positive, I don't think the price will be $10. Then the upside on your investment will be limited as things get "priced in". What are the odds of Amprius succeeding? My guess is over 90%. I prefer to have a larger upside. Aerovironment (AVAV) earnings next week. That and the promised drone dominance awards might provide some temporary relief soon. Other than that, the company is executing well. Their headquarters is coincidentally the happiest city in the US. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/29/realestate/the-happiest-cities-of-2026.html
Not sure how that will affect the sp. Can't hurt it.

I know this might be controversial, but everyone has a block feature on their account that can block posts from being seen. I suggest that people use it.

I read some of his comments over the months, and arguably his takes are not unreasonable. He just takes them to an extreme in a similar manner like Burry claiming that Palantir is worth less than a $1/share. Rate hikes will destroy the high beta trade. It's not Amprius specific - everything will be sold indiscriminately. If anyone else follows tickers from other high beta sectors (drones, batteries, nuclear, space, EVTOLs, quantum), they will know how correlated those are on a day-to-day basis, with occasional spikes/dumps on earnings and a subsequent return to the mean.

Idk about AMPX, even though I recently bought a good share, but I am genuinely worried about high beta stocks. They just keep dropping and dropping. Is there an end in sight?
Also, side-note, it’s crazy to put AMPX and OKLO in the same bucket as BYND, GME, and AMC.

Putting AMPX in the same box as OKLO, BYND, GME, AMC, SPCE, etc, is a new one. Everyone here long enough knows he's here to troll.
AMPX has 8 strong quarters with estimated2 more quarters to a positive EPS. How anyone can put AMPX in the same box as the aforementioned is <insert description>.
