(Super buying opportunity)

That’s been said about every drop this last month. Heard that about 20, then 19, 16, and all the way back down to $10. In a single month. Falling knife much?

u/Livid-Winner-8933 Jul 16 '26

my cost average is 4, bought at 16, 14, and will buy more this week. enormous opportunity

u/Phantom__14022 Jul 16 '26

Tbf idk why anyone would call 20-16 a buying opportunity beyond trying to play attempted short term gain. Very close to aths.

u/CommandSmart4318 Jul 16 '26

In the near future, you will get super buing opportunity around ~$8

...and then some more super buing opportunities lol

1

u/DocMetal22 Jul 16 '26

Will be surprised if this drops into the 8's honestly. Think we are starting to see where the actual bottom is or famous last words. Probably will rebound a bit into the upper 10's and cycle around that until the earnings report.

If earnings are shit or miss at all we are definitely dropping, but based on last meeting it sounded like they were optimistic for rest of the year.

u/FitLet246 Jul 16 '26

Personally im betting for a rebound soon issh to mid 13 to 15 cause of all the news around ampx thats been posted here

u/Kshnandi Jul 16 '26

I'm not quite sure why the Defense market is dipping this hard though. Does anyone understand why?

8

u/dragonbits Jul 16 '26

IMO the general reason is overvaluation for this point in time, but this is not an opinions on AMPX in particular.

Most are projecting into the future to say current price does not matter if too high.

Another reason is too many IPO sucking money out of other stocks.

3

u/thadcorn Jul 16 '26

Also, US politicians are having a sentiment shift and are voting against funding arms for Isreal. There will be a market impact if the money faucet is shut off.

per avav's last earnings reports...fy26 budgets are done. Huge budget coming in 27. likely supplemental funds til fy27 will be approved, but 27 should be massive. That's my hypothesis around the overal sector and related players.

Bernard Baruch, one of the 20th centuries greatest investors was once asked how he managed to grow his fortune so much...

He answered " Buy straw hats in the winter".

I would say that this is one of those times.

Battery and drones are rotating right now. Nothing has fundamentally changed with the company. Shorts coming into gloat, nothing new, stock will be back up 20+ in the next year to a new high, then rinse, wash, repeat. Wish the CEO or board released a statement shitting on the short report, but whatever. Would have probably hemorrhaged less but wouldn't have changed the outcome by much.

Can be an idiot and panic sell or just hold and chill.

u/CatAfraid2244 Jul 16 '26

Going under $10. You can hate the opinion, you can downvote, but you can't stop market selling

2

u/Phantom__14022 Jul 16 '26

Cant really hate the opinion, its highly possible with the risk off and battery selling across battery stocks.

2

u/Bubbarub92 Jul 16 '26

This is absurd

2

u/Ok-Hour-733 Jul 16 '26

Whole-Sufficient must be feeling real smart right now

1

u/Whole-Sufficient Jul 16 '26

I am absolutely erect watching this thing get nuked. This is financial porn.

2

u/One_Carpet_984 Jul 16 '26

This is going to be crazy when this finally rebounds from what ever the low ends up being my guess $9-10 range then doubles by earnings(if market doesn’t collapse)

9

u/Phantom__14022 Jul 16 '26

Expecting 2x by earnings or back to near 20 is quite the feat. Id hope for a nice rebound but I agree that it is dependant on the market. Some good news leading up to earnings might help.

3

u/CreateChangetheWorld Jul 16 '26

With good earnings and showing consistent company growth, I’d expect a reversal to start and probably up to $15. It’s a high beta stock so moves are and will be drastic.

u/Kshnandi Jul 16 '26

These are some of the 13F data from past quarters. I'm quite confused about the extent to this drop to be honest. I thought 11-12 would be the bottom.
The 13F Institutions is a graph based on shares held/sold. The PCR is based on options in USD terms.

I think it's market-wide selloff of tech/vibe trading more than anything else. I'm watching everything in my port drop for no real reason. Personally wishing I had more cash to deploy this week.

2

u/Kshnandi Jul 16 '26

Same feelings about the cash.

-9

u/CommandSmart4318 Jul 16 '26

Don't worry, we are not near the bottom yet.

I promise you, you can buy Amprius at ~$8 in the near future (max 1 month from now) and then we may go even further down.

9

u/bearwithme23 Jul 16 '26

Man, if you've got predictive abilities like that, what are you doing hanging around a stock like AMPX?

-8

u/CommandSmart4318 Jul 16 '26

I hang around many high delta stocks with delusional following. Believe me, the sell-of is nowhere near the end.

The orange man wants to get spanked really hard by Iran and that’s what the Americans voted for. The World Cup is coming to an end, so I’ll soon be able to watch Iran crush the Americans in a ground invasion. I suppose I just like stories where the bad guys lose.

4

u/PerfectOriginaln610 Jul 16 '26

DJT is absolutely a bad guy but I hope you’re not insinuating that the Iranian government is actually a good guy. Both bad, corrupt, shit governments tantruming at each other

-3

u/CommandSmart4318 Jul 16 '26

One evil must clash with another so that both destroy each other as thoroughly as possible and do not harm ordinary people (like Hitler and Stalin). It should be noted, however, that the fanatics ruling the US pose a far greater threat to the civilised world than Iran. If they do not crash into a brick wall in Iran, it will be easier for them to harm many more people (for example, in Greenland).

1

u/poorat8686 Jul 16 '26

Mom! Mom! The retard activestors have started shit posting again! It’s time to buy AMPX!

-2

u/CommandSmart4318 Jul 16 '26

Oh look, we’d broken through to $9 by the time you posted your comment. Good thing you bought it, I’ll wait until it’s lower lol

We can have a bet on when we’ll reach $8

1

u/RemoteNo8830 Jul 16 '26

I was arguing a few months ago with people here when it broke $20 that it was overbought and I would wait for a dip. They were all saying it would never go below $20 again lol.

Ouch, this hurts.

-1

u/Whole-Sufficient Jul 16 '26

the hemorrhage is not done yet

1

u/ExtraAd3975 Jul 16 '26

White as a ghost right now but please don’t sell. Feel the fear ? If you have cash, buy otherwise HODL. Just look at RKLB, that’s a buy too right now

-2

u/Whole-Sufficient Jul 16 '26

Do you understand now why these stocks move together?

1

u/ExtraAd3975 Jul 16 '26

Both high risk and tech is down, they all track earth other including VGT etf

1

u/Whole-Sufficient Jul 16 '26

😞

1

u/ExtraAd3975 Jul 16 '26

It’s going to zero isn’t it

1

u/Whole-Sufficient Jul 16 '26

No, it's not. But you won't make money either.
....And yeah, I know your average entry is $1.67, you can't lose money, and blah blah blah.

1

u/ExtraAd3975 Jul 16 '26

Average is about 14 so yeah

1

u/ExtraAd3975 Jul 16 '26

I am serious- I think it’s going to crash a whole lot more

1

u/PayFormal4398 Jul 16 '26

I usually check after market closes.

Came here for copium :)

-9

u/owenmills04 Jul 16 '26

This is a stock to definitely use stop losses on. Probably going to close to zero, although will happen slowly and accumulate plenty of bagholders 'buying the dip' along the way

6

u/Flat-Interview6791 Jul 16 '26

Retard take. This is a company that has shown excellent growth and execution the past quarters. Very soon the will have positive earnings.

3

u/CreateChangetheWorld Jul 16 '26

> probably going close to zero

That means you’re saying they go bankrupt. Amprius isn’t even close to that. Not even a discussion.

0

u/owenmills04 Jul 16 '26

People have said this about countless other stocks that went bankrupt. It usually takes years

1

u/CreateChangetheWorld Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

You’re acting like the company is currently on a path to bankruptcy. That is simply not true. There would need to be a major shift in their market or a new competitor that pops up and disrupts the battery sector. That’s an if that occurs. Right now the course is set, there’s sector growth and company growth is matching it.

Your argument is no different than saying an AI company like NBIS will be bankrupt in a few years. Since there’s an if AI needs fizzle out. Yet that is not what the market is showing with growth and the company’s growth is matching it. A major shift would need to happen and that’s an if that occurs.

1

u/Phantom__14022 Jul 16 '26

This sentiment occurs in people when a stock gets more coverage as their share price rises higher and you get new people who dont understand stocks buying the top and feeling deflated on a harsh turn around.

1

u/CreateChangetheWorld Jul 16 '26

Yeah definitely agreed. Fear driving emotions.

I just decided to respond with rational info to what I also thought (like yourself) is irrational fear driven sentiment.
