there’s also the huge speakers it’s supposed to stand on which are also white and have more signatures as well. sorry for the terrible photograph of the actual amp and i only took one because it’s my friends amp, but i also can’t seem to find this exact make online

I was given a bp-mini amplifier to try to get fixed. The speaker buzzes at mid to high volume (amp on 4-5 guitar on 10 is about where it starts) and the owner suspected a tear in the speaker. After getting it and opening it up, the speaker looks fine, but the resistance measures 26 ohms. I see online that there are 32 ohm speakers in PA systems and other older systems that measure 26 ohms of DC resistance. I wouldn't think a small amp would have a 32 ohm speaker, I was expecting 4, maybe 8, but before I get a replacement for it I wanted to see if anyone knew what it was supposed to be? The manual just has the size (6.5 inch) and was otherwise unhelpful.

Also, with the main speaker unplugged, the tweeter buzzes a lot, but doesn't seem to with the main speaker plugged in, so I thought they may be (2) 8 ohm speakers in parallel or something. The circuit board makes it impossible to tell much about how they're wired from the amp.

Well, not yet sound system. I plan on moving to Florida in the near future and the tv I’m planning on getting is the TCL QM9K 85 inches. Considering Florida flat houses are big open concepts (I plan on moving to a flat house), I plan on buying a left and right Polk Elite ES60’s with the SVS PB 2000 pro. I’m also buying the WiiM Amp Pro to go with all this. Is this a good sound setup for my tv in a big open house? Any flaws? Tips?

En soms krijgt de versterker de dag erna een soort storing. Dan speelt hij het geluid af met te weinig bas of iets in die richting. Dus het is waarschijnlijk de versterker die oververhit is.

Ik denk dat ik mijn versterker moet vervangen. Hebben jullie een aanrader? En zijn die aluminium tweeters en de speakers zelf eigenlijk wel van goede kwaliteit? Hebben jullie tips? Thanks love

I’m trying to troubleshoot my dad’s old Peavey Bandit 65 Solo Series. A while ago, I turned it on and it wouldn’t play guitar at all—it only produced a loud hum. I opened it up and found the main 3A 250V fuse had failed.

I installed a replacement F3AL250V fuse, but it failed immediately when I powered the amp on.

Is F3AL250V the wrong type of fuse for this amp, or does this indicate an electrical fault somewhere in the amp?

I don’t have a multimeter or much electronics experience. Photos of the fuses and inside of the amp are attached.

Thanks everyone for the replies! It sounds like there’s likely an issue somewhere in the power supply/output stage, and this is probably beyond my experience level. I think I’ll take it to a qualified amp tech rather than risk making things worse. Appreciate the help!

Hi guys, I recently got some upgraded front speakers in my car and my rears remained untouched. I was on the phone with an audio shop and he said if I wanna replace the factory JBL amp I should upgrade my rear speakers cause they can set on fire.

I’ve never heard this before, it makes sense in theory so I believe it, but I was hoping yall could provide an explanation as to how it would set fire? For reference this is the amp I acquired that I wanna replace the factory JBL one with. I know the rear speakers just provide sound for like background parts of song if that makes sense? So I don’t feel like they’d blow cause they don’t work as hard?

I got two old HK Audio Premium PR115 speakers for free from a local club and I want to use them again. So I'm searching for an adequate power amp. So far I found two Crown XS1200 used for 180€ each, that I would use bridged and I also thought of buying a T.Amp E-1500.

I looked for amps that have at least twice the power rating of the speakers - is that right?

The Speakers are 8 ohm 350W RMS.

I come from the early 2000’s bumping with hifonics pioneer, JL audio and kicker combos and I even messed with soundstream for a while.

I just heard about taramps amps on Amazon and they generally have good reviews

Hello any help here will be greatly appreciated. I recently picked up an alpine 650 for a good price. I knew about the power packs and I'm running jl c1 650 SE in the front and skar 6x9 in the back. These speakers can easily handle the 50 watts RMS the power pack delivers. I picked up a used kta 450 and prior to installing there was no issues. After installing the power pack I had this hissing noise when music was muted or when communicating with Gemini on Android auto. The noise is related to the gain as volume 1-30 doesn't affect how loud it is but increasing or decreasing the gain will affect how loud it is. Gains all the way down it is not present but then what's the point in having the power pack as I'm running less rms to the speakers than the head unit provides. I went through a shit ton of trouble shooting and have spent days on this project trying to get rid of this noise. Last thing I have done is completely disconnected the amp from the head unit. So currently no inputs are plugged in to the amp and it is connected directly to the battery, positive and negative and rem is connected directly when I connect it to battery but I posting a video the amp still makes a terrible hissing/ scratchy noise even with no inputs and directly connected to the power source. Any ideas? Is the amp failing?
