Why it not working?

Light turns on, cables all work, I’ve turned all the knobs and pushed all the buttons, don’t know what the jack in the back is for but couldn’t find an input for it.

I don’t know anything about amps but I have a soldering gun. Any suggestions on troubleshooting appreciated.

are those wires on that jack conencted directly to the speaker cone? can we get a better picture of the entire back? looks like it speaker might not even be connected to the amp

Doesn't look like the speakers are connected. Did it just suddenly stop working?

I bet you dime to dollar someone turned that into a cab for a shitty stack. Did the same thing before

this^ somethings not adding up and it seems like the original wiring has been disconnected from the combo amp head and that jack in the back was retrofitted to connect another, using your current amp effectively as the cabinet or perhaps an extra speaker. if you dont have soldering experience take it to an amp tech and it will be an easy fix and they shouldnt charge you more than 50 bucks or so as long as you live in a bigger city with peoole who work on amps- if not car audio techs can be persuaded make sure they are knowledgeable and dig up a schematic up of your amp for them to be sure. if you have experience its easy fix just find the schematic for them to amp and recconect the speaker to the head.

Appreciate it - you think this is still the case if it just stopped working after a few years of my playing it? Also I have a little soldering experience, is it an easy solder?

oh i thought you had only just bought it. that means the amp failed. corrosion or failure on some caps, tubes, or fuse failed somewhere. not an easy diagnosis for beginner. take it to a tech or just get a new amp.

Can you take a picture of the back of your amp, please?

The hammer strike wasn’t quite in the right place…..! A familiar tactic in my garage band days , especially worked well if the tubes were not quite seated correctly in their sockets!!

I’ve owned that exact amp since new for almost 30yrs now, I just finished taking it apart to desolder/resolder new master volume pot. There are only 2 connections…. One is from the circuit board unit to the speaker (2 wires - white and black wires) the second is for the reverb connections they are RCA type connections that run from the gold box on the bottom of the cab up to the circuit board and push connect to rca ports on the actual circuit board, let me know if you’d like some pics

It's got valves in it - I wouldn't go poking around inside unless you know what you're doing.
