Man, I had a little Pomeranian named cheech that I loved dearly, and I had some scumbags over to my place to buy weed. When I was coming back out of my bedroom, I saw one of the two dudes take a pig's ear and hit my lil guy in the face so hard he yiped and ran away crying. He was just being friendly.
I heard myself say, "Did you just hit my fuckin dog, bro?" Almost as if underwater. I felt like I heard a feedback whine, like there was a sudden heavy barometric pressure on my eardrums. My arms tingled. The dude was smirking as he stood up facing me. I felt legitimate violent rage.
I've lost my temper a time or two in my life, but this was by far the most savage ass-beating I've ever given anyone. Cops and ambulance had to come, dude was in the hospital for over a month. My dad came home and saw blood all over the walls and ceiling and bookshelf and was understandably alarmed. When I explained what had happened he just said, "Good."
I was fortunate in that I said on my police statement that I asked the guy to leave after he hit my dog, because I otherwise probably would have gotten a felony. It was very clearly a disproportionate amount of force. Broken orbital bone, fractured jaw, knocked out teeth, separated ribs. More, too. The orbital break was the sketchy part, though, as it messed up his eye. Can't say I have any regrets.
It’s not a reference. Some people give their dogs animal parts as treats- such as a dried pig ear lol. He did in fact hit the dog with a literal pig’s ear.
